Why the trail runs this way

Home is Reno–Sparks, so almost every trip starts on I-80 heading west over the Sierra. That's why four of five stops cluster around the Bay Area and one sits out on I-40. It's a map of my job, not a map of the best food in the West. Those are different maps.
